Loire Valley
Whilst not a region of France the Loire Valley is more a touristic "idea" of an area that, for our purposes comprises the departments of Indre-et-Loire (37), Eure-et-Loir (28), Cher (18), Indre (36), Loiret (45) and Loir-et-Cher (41).
It is a very significant tourist area due mainly to the magnificent Chateaux that line the banks of the River Loire, such as Château de Chambord, Châteaux d'Amboise, Château de Villandry, Blois, Saumur and Chenonceaux.

The Domaine de Vernou lies in a thousand acre estate in the heart of the Loire Valley about 4 km from Langeais, which lies on the banks of the River Loire, 28 kms downstream from Tours. Château de Saint Aignan is a privately owned country estate in the heart of the Loire Valley that has been in our family since the 11th century. Belleroche is an 18th century house overlooking the River Loire, a 15 minute walk from the centre of Amboise, in the heart of the Loire Valley, close to some of the most famous of the Loire châteaux and vineyards.
